LA Confidential was bred by DNA Genetics using OG LA Affie — a clone-only indica from Southern California — crossed with an Afghani indica. It was released in the mid-2000s and immediately made its mark on the competition circuit, winning the High Times Cannabis Cup for Best Indica in 2004 and earning numerous subsequent accolades. It remains a benchmark of what a well-bred indica should achieve.
The appearance is classic: extremely dense, compact buds that are deep forest-green with occasional purple shading in cooler conditions, blanketed in a thick layer of milky-white trichomes that give the flowers a frosty, almost white appearance at full maturity.
