Tangie is DNA Genetics' spiritual successor to the original California Orange strain of the 1980s, developed by crossing a Skunk hybrid with an orange-forward California Orange selection. It won multiple Cannabis Cup awards and became one of the most influential strains of the 2010s, inspiring an entire sub-genre of citrus-forward hybrids.
